About

K.R.Rose is a blind poet and storyteller living in Boston, Massachusetts where she studied fiction writing and poetry at Emerson College. She finds inspiration in the unusual, and her love for nature and animals is often at the core of her work. More of her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Dulcet Literary Magazine, Scapegoat Review, Running Wild Press, and others. When she’s not writing, Rose may be drawing, crafting, or collecting rocks from New England streams.

She is especially obsessed with giant anteaters, pens, deer, polished rocks, and various species of water fowl. Her love of nature stems from her childhood which she spent frolicking through the skunk cabbage growing behind her house, and exploring the natural wonders of northern New England’s caves, forests, and gorges with her family. Beaches along the coast of Maine as well as the White Mountains of New Hampshire are some of her happy places.

Rose’s favorite writers in no particular order: Mary Oliver, Chen Chen, Safia Elhilo, John Lee Clark, torrin a. greathouse.
